Willow Walk
School of the Ages

About Me

I was fortunate to discover Pee Wee's writings through her shared newsletter with Billie and Pat. Never having read her previous books, I ended up receiving through email the first two chapters of her current work, book 3 of the Willow Walk series. I was immediately captivated by the depth of her characters and the warmth of her presence that comes through. Now, I am deeply honored to share an occasional email with her.

About me: I chose an older fun picture of me that seemed suitable for presenting myself. I an eclectic in most of my tastes. I have worn bibs for almost 40 years now... 30 of which were spent jumping on and off industrial trains in a steel mill in Northwest Indiana. I am retarded now... oh, I mean retired (I have always been a bit 'wonky). I come from a large Midwestern family of Scotch-Irish descent on my father's side, and Japanese on my mother's side. My mother was pregnant with me when my father mustered out of the Air Force during the Korean War.  I am thinking that if I write an autobiography I might call it: "Made in Japan, but Assembled in America." I was born in Gary, Indiana, where I lived a good portion of my life. I am currently living in Merrillville with my lovely wife-the greatest blessing in my life since Jesus Christ, and we are empty-nesters... not birdbrains, mind you, just without youngens living at home. We both love to read and I have a passion for the arts. I used to do cartooning and graphic arts but now I prefer to draw pictures in people's minds with words, much like Pee Wee does.

I am currently working on ghostwriting several books for a couple of foreign Christian ministries and for my mother. Her book is to be titled: "Ignorance Causes Pain." And, boy does it...

I have not settled on any particular genre in fiction. I am having fun with Zombies and horror stories and looking into Steampunk. I come from a long line of tinkerers... my dad was a bodyman, mechanic when I was a kid and my mother used to build and repair televisions and radios back in Japan.. the tube kind, remember? All of my uncles were in the building trades so I can repair or build just about anything. Right now, I just want to build some good stories.
